Consultancy House Dunedin, one of the 1st Buildings George Davies designed and installed heating in.

George W. Davies opened his first business in Dunedin in 1909. His uncanny knack of finding the best heating solutions to stave off the bitter Otago winters quickly gained traction with householders, schools and local businesses.

His company soon began installing heating systems in many of Dunedin’s stately buildings and homes, including the Dunedin Town Hall and the Regent Theatre.

As heating and ventilation technology advanced, George diversified geographically and technically. He began installing hot water radiators and warmed air ducted systems, particularly in schools, in towns all over Otago.

Davies Heat ‘n’ Cool continued to expand and today supplies heating and ventilation systems from Christchurch to Invercargill and anywhere in between using only quality workmanship and products with system design and knowledge second to none.
